1 Thessalonians 2:13 "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."

Preface
Psalm 89:47-48
Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver
his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
Here is a Law of Nature legislated by Nature's God: “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” [Genesis 8:22]
This is an infallible TRUTH: God owns “the day”. God owns “the night”.
This is called: set LAW.
“The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light
and the sun. Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made
summer and winter.” [Psalm 74:16-17]
There is more! God has established “the borders of the earth”. And God has established “time”.
There is, therefore, a “time to every purpose” [Ecclesiastes 3:1].
One purpose is judgment. The time of judgment of “the quick and the dead” is coming!
We have an appointment with the JUDGE! “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” [Hebrews 9:27].
[One might say, this day of reckoning is when all the chickens will have
come home to roost.]
Now, open the BIBLE to the epistle of Second Timothy, chapter four, and
read with me:
“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned
unto fables.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an
evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.
The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him
according to his works:
Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.
Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.” [2 Timothy 4:1-21]
From the sides of the north there was a wind blowing — bringing the cold — with the warning of the shortness of life.
Paul was in the winter of his life.
Thus begins this message from the messenger.

1.The Sides of The North - 2. The Wind Blows
Far above us, to the north of us, beyond this universe, is the most strangest of places a person could ever behold.
Here it is: “Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.” [Psalm 48:2]
3. Bringing the Cold - 4. The Shortness of Life - 5. Come Before Winter
When the Son of God was here [4033-6 AM, 4743-6 JP, 30-33 AD] we had “the light” and the work of the “harvest” was still yet before us.
The LORD said: “Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” [John 4:35b]
