Preface: Isaiah 51:1

“Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.”

There are “those” who will “hunger” for “righteousness”, according to Matthew 5:6: “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” [This will literally be fulfilled in the Kingdom of Heaven.]

There are “those” who will “seek” the Lord [“the Rock”], according to Zechariah 8:22: “Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.”

 [This will literally be fulfilled in the Kingdom of Heaven.]

But who am I? I am one that was as dug out of the hole of a pit by THE ROCK! [This is spiritually as to one who lives today in the Church Age.]

Now, thanks be to God: “The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.” [2 Samuel 22:3] [Spiritually as to one who lives today carried in the bosom of Jesus (Isaiah 40:11).]

Now, “the Rock” is revealed many times throughout the Bible to be none other than Jesus Christ. “He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” [Deuteronomy 32:4]

“Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.” [Deuteronomy 32:18]

“And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” [1 Corinthians 10:4]

Now, those, that will hunger and thirst for righteousness, and seek for the “Rock” that is higher than they, will be “hewn” by the “Rock” in a “workmanship” of God.

This workmanship [or operation] is performed on the believer in Jesus Christ, which operation was unknown to them living before “the fulness of the time was come.” [Galatians 4:4-5]

All New Testament saints, [the believers in Jesus Christ, who are in the body of Christ, the church], have this operation being performed on them according to the epistle to the Ephesians, chapter two, and verse ten.

We read here: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” [Ephesians 2:10

Now, here is my testimony as to one who lives today in the Church Age: “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” [Psalm 18:2] Is this your testimony?

We are now ready to move on and to consider two prophesied events to be fulfilled in the near future according to the Bible:

• The Day of the LORD,

• and the coming of the LORD.

Now, what of this Bible that I am referring to [the King James Bible]?
This Bible is not some book … written by men for men about God which happened to include his dealings with mankind.

It is, therefore, not a natural book written by natural men.

Rather, this Bible is a unique BOOK written by God through men about God which deliberately includes his dealings with mankind.

It is, therefore, a supernatural BOOK written by a supernatural God through men!

[Now the BIBLE in the English language, which is the language of the end times, is the Authorized Version of 1611 (which includes any of its editions) commonly known as the King James Bible.]

Here we have need for this further notation: We need to believe that God has given this Bible to us [in the English language] word perfect! This is in spite of the working of the god of this world [Satan] in collusion with the sinful scholars sitting in their high places of academia, having turned out over two hundred corrupt English translations over the last one hundred thirty-five years [since A.D. 1881].

“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” [Psalms 12:6-7]

Therefore, this message [The Meeting in the Air] presupposes this BOOK to be the very words of God to both you and me living in the 21st century. With this declaration having been made, we will begin.

A sea change [a change in dispensations] is due to the inhabitants of this earth. It is near the time of the change of the guard [as they would say in old times]. The times of Gentiles are now virtually up [Luke 21:24]. God is even now preparing to turn the hearts of Israel back to him.
‘Tis very near to the time of Jacob’s trouble. See for this in the book of Jeremiah: “Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.” [Jeremiah 30:7]

Israel will soon begin to seek the LORD, and look to the rock from whence they were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from whence they were dug. “For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people. My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.”

 [This will literally be fulfilled in the Kingdom of Heaven.]

What is the lesson here for us who live in the 21st century?

The lesson is this. We must learn to see that two things that are different are not the same if we are not to be lost in the woods!
