The General Epistle of James

2 Timothy 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The Guideline:

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” [2 Timothy 2:15]

My goal in this commentary is to: BELIEVE the Bible, and to not USE the Bible.

This Bible is the Authorized Version of 1611, or any of its editions, commonly called the King James Bible.

This commentary of James will attempt to be a verse-by-verse study:

1.       Expounding the doctrine of each verse,

2.       Providing the historical or prophetical application of the verse,

3.       Including the practical, [and or] the spiritual application of the verse,

4.       Maintaining the context of the scripture wherein the verse is found,

5.       Taking of the plain literal meaning unless it is obviously figurative or with similitude.

Introduction

The unknown God [Acts 17:23] is the GOD I shall testify to you.

The atheist maintains: There is no God!  However, the word of God says this man is a FOOL!

Psalm 14:1a: “To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.”

There is A GOD!  There is A GOD!  There is A GOD!

Question: If there is a God, then, what is God’s NAME?  

Answer: I AM THAT I AM is God’s name.

“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” [Exodus 3:14]
