Question Number 57

Question. What is the main theme of the Bible?

Answer. The main theme is Kingdoms and Kings.
The primary theme of the Bible is one of kingdoms and kings. In fact, two of books are named: I Kings and II Kings.

Kingdoms and Kings! Two more books that chronicle kingdoms and kings (in particular the Jewish kingdoms and their kings) are I Chronicles and II Chronicles.

In Matthew 4:8, we see a strange scene … six thousand years in a moment of time, with all “the kingdoms of the world” being offered by the god of this world (that is Satan) to SON of GOD Jesus Christ.

“Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them.” These kingdoms are collectively called by God in Daniel 4:17 “the kingdom of men.”
