“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby”

[1 Peter 2:2]

Question Number 12

Question. What is the meaning of this commandment?

Answer. That we should worship the only true God, and no other besides him.
The whole purpose of man is to bring honor, praise and glory in worship to LORD. “That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” [Romans 15:6]

One of the names of GOD is JEALOUS. GOD wants ALL of our worship, and will not share this worship with any other god. “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:” [Exodus 34:14]
